Coordination Committee

The Coordination Committee meets twice a month and is made up of the members of the Investment & Development Committee and the Management Committee as well as Wendel’s other principal managers worldwide. Its role is to act as a hub of cross-company information and sharing to ensure the free flow of information throughout the Group.

Laurent Mignon is Wendel’s Group CEO since December 2nd, 2022, and Chairman of the Board of Bureau Veritas since June 22nd, 2023.

Before joining Wendel, Laurent Mignon served at Groupe BPCE from 2009 to 2022, where he was Chief Executive Officer of Natixis and a member of the Executive Management Committee of BPCE (including a member of the Management Board since 2013) from 2009 to May 2018, and Chairman of the Executive Board of Groupe BPCE from May 2018 to December 2022. He was also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Natixis, Director of CNP Assurances and Censor of Fimalac.

Laurent Mignon worked for Banque lndosuez for over ten years, first in capital markets, then in corporate and investment banking. In 1996, he joined Banque Schroders in London, then AGF (Assurances Générales de France) in 1997 as Chief Financial Officer. He was appointed to the AGF Executive Committee in 1998, then as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Banque AGF, AGF Asset Management and AGF lmmobilier in 2002, then in charge of life insurance and financial services and credit insurance in 2003. In 2006, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Committee. From 2007 to 2009, he was a Managing Partner at Oddo & Cie.

In addition to his functions within the Wendel Group, Laurent Mignon sits on the Board of Directors of LVMH. He is a non-voting member of Oddo BHF.

Laurent graduated from HEC in 1986 and from the Stanford Executive Program.

David Darmon

Chairman of Scalian’s Board of Directors

David Darmon is Wendel’s Group Deputy CEO since September 9th 2019. He joined Wendel in 2005.

In December 2020, Wendel’s Supervisory Board decided to reappoint the Executive Board for a period of four years from April 7, 2021 to April 6, 2025.

David has led numerous investments for the Group. He participated in the investment and oversight of companies such as Allied Universal, CSP Technologies, Deutsch Group, and Stallergenes. David also initiated several investments in the technology sector.

David opened the New York office (Wendel North America), which he led from 2013 until September 2019, when he joined the Executive Board. From 2013 to 2019, Wendel invested approximately $1 billion in the United States.

David previously served as Wendel’s corporate Secretary to the Supervisory Board.

Before joining Wendel, David was a Director of Apax Partners in Paris, where he specialized in LBO transactions for six years. He began his career in M&A at Goldman Sachs in London.

He is a graduate of ESSEC and holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Board Member of Bureau Veritas and Scalian

Jérôme Michiels is the Group’s Executive Vice-President, responsible for structuring Wendel’s third-party asset management business. He is also Director of Wendel Growth, member of Wendel’s Management Committee and a voting member of the Investment and Development Committee. He is a Board Member of Bureau Veritas and Scalian.

Jérôme joined Wendel at the end of 2006 as Investment Director and was promoted to Director in January 2010. He was appointed Managing Director in January 2012 and joined the Investment Committee at this date. On October 1, 2015, Jérôme was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Wendel Group and also joined the Management Committee. On september 11, 2019, he was promoted to Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

From 2002 to 2006, he was an Associate at the investment fund BC Partners. Prior to that, he worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group from 1999 to 2002, carrying out strategic missions in Europe, particularly in the fields of distribution, transportation, telecommunications and financial services.

Jérôme is a graduate from HEC.

Cyril Marie

Cyril Marie is in charge of external growth and development projects (M&A, management companies and strategic partnerships) as part of the implementation of the new third-party asset management business within Wendel.

Cyril has over 15 years’ experience in asset management. Prior to joining Wendel, he was Chief Financial Officer, Head of Strategy & Corporate Development and a member of the Executive Committee of Natixis Investment Managers.

Cyril began his career in 1999 with BBSP as a financial analyst. He joined Groupe BPCE in 2002, where he held several positions in the Finance and Strategy Department. In 2009, he joined Natixis Investment Managers to oversee the group’s overall strategy and corporate development opportunities. He became Chief Financial Officer in 2017. In this capacity, he was involved in the development of Natixis’ multi-affiliate model through the acquisition and creation of management companies, and by chairing the Boards of Directors of numerous affiliates.

Cyril Marie is a graduate of Paris-Dauphine University (DEA Finance).

Olivier Allot

Olivier Allot is the Director of Financial Communication and Data Intelligence. He joined Wendel in 2007.

Olivier started his career in 1996 at SBF Bourse de Paris. He was spokesperson for four years, and then became Investor Relations Officer until 2007. He contributed actively to the merger of the Stock Exchanges of Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and Lisbon, and also to the merger of Euronext and the NYSE.

Olivier is a graduate of the University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, has a master’s degree in Banking, Finance and Insurance and a master’s degree in Management and Administration, and holds the CEFA and SFAF for financial analyst diplomas. He also holds an MBA from Economic Warfare School of Paris in Strategic Management and Competitive Intelligence.

Christine Anglade is the Director of Sustainable Development and Communication. She is a member of Wendel’s Management Committee and an Advisor to the Executive Board. She joined Wendel in 2011. Christine is a Board Member of Bureau Veritas.

Before joining Wendel, Christine was Director of Communication of the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) which she joined in 2000. She was Policy Officer with the French Prime Minister’s Office (Direction des Media) from 1998 to 2000. She began her career in the editorial staff of la Correspondance de la Presse.

Christine holds a master’s in European and International Law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, and a master’s degree in Communication Law from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University.

Caroline Bertin Delacour is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. She joined Wendel in 2009, first as the Head of Legal Affairs. She is also a member of Wendel’s Management Committee.

She used to be an Attorney for the law firm August & Debouzy, where she dealt with Mergers & Acquisitions and corporate law from 1998 to 2009. Prior to this, she was a Tax Lawyer at Clearly Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton from 1988 to 1998.

Caroline is co-author of “Highs and Lows of Modern Finance” (Eyrolles, 2013) and author of “Sovereign Wealth Funds: these new actors of the global economy” (co-published Eyrolles – Les Echos, 2009), for which she received the Turgot New Talent Prize in 2010.

Registered at the Paris Bar between 1990 and 2009, she holds an LLM from New York University (1987), a master’s in Taxation from the University Paris V René Descartes (1985) and a master’s in Business Law from the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas (1984).

She is a Knight of the French Order of Merit.

Benoît Drillaud
CFO

Benoît Drillaud is the CFO of Wendel and leads the financial and accounting team. He is a member of the Management Committee.

Benoît joined Wendel in 2004 as Accounting and Financial Operations Officer and was appointed Deputy Director of Accounting and Financial Affairs in 2007. In 2013, he was promoted to Deputy Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining Wendel, he has worked as an auditor for PriceWaterhouseCoopers for 5 years.

He holds a Master’s degree in finance from ESCP and a DEA in economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Etienne Grobon
Director of Internal Audit

Etienne Grobon is the Director of Internal Audit. He joined Wendel in 2018.

Before joining Wendel, Etienne was Senior Director, Audit and Insurance at Dassault Systèmes in Paris. He was responsible for Internal Audit and Control as well as the worldwide insurance program.

During these 8 years, he played an active role in the integration of companies acquired by Dassault Systèmes so as to ensure they adopted the best internal control practices.

Previously, he worked for 15 years in auditing and risk management, first at the Bouygues group and then at Andersen (formerly Arthur Andersen), heading compliance projects related to the US Sarbanes-Oxley regulation. Finally, he was a founding member of Protiviti in France, where he was in charge of internal auditing and risk management.

Etienne is a graduate of HEC Paris.

Jean-Yves Hémery is the Délégué à la gestion journalière of Wendel Luxembourg. He joined Wendel in 1993.

After 7 years working for government tax authorities for seven years, he moved to Pechiney in 1990, then to Wendel in 1993.

In December 2012 Jean-Yves was appointed International Delegate of Oranje-Nassau, with the mission to coordinate the company’s administrative and financial development abroad.

Jean-Yves Hémery graduated from the École Nationale des Impôts in 1983 and has a graduate degree in economics.

Harper Mates is a Managing Director. She is a member of the Investment Committee. Harper is also member of Wendel’s Supervisory Board as an employee representative and is a Board Member of ACAMS and the Crisis Prevention Institute. She joined Wendel in 2015.

Prior to joining the Wendel New York office, Harper was a Vice President at MidOcean Partners, a US-based middle market private equity firm where she was responsible for investments in the business services, media and consumer services sectors.

She began her career at J.P. Morgan as an investment banking Analyst and then Citi Private Equity as an Associate.

Harper holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Tax Director

Anne-Sophie Kerfant is Tax Director. She is also a member of the Management Committee. She joined Wendel in 2024.

After graduating from the Law Faculty of Paris II and Paris Dauphine, Anne-Sophie worked for 30 years in international law firms, where she acquired cross-disciplinary tax expertise. These experiences enabled her to advise clients as diverse as CAC 40 groups, private equity and turnaround funds, family groups and start-ups on structuring their investments, M&A operations and restructuring, including in the area of insolvency proceedings.

Before joining Wendel, Anne-Sophie worked at Shearman & Sterling for 13 years, then joined Orrick Rambaud Martel in 2007, where she has been a Partner since 2009. Anne-Sophie was Head of Orrick Rambaud Martel’s Paris Tax Department for 11 years and was Managing Partners of the Paris office for 5 years.

Sébastien Metzger
General Counsel M&A and Finance of Wendel

Sébastien Metzger is General Counsel
M&A and Finance of Wendel. He joined Wendel in 2008.

A lawyer by training, Sébastien Metzger, 41, began his career at Wendel in 2008 as an M&A lawyer and was promoted to Deputy Head of Legal Affairs in January 2018.

During these years, Sébastien has participated in the majority of transactions carried out by Wendel, whether they were unlisted private transactions, market transactions or debt transactions (bond issues) during which he acquired a solid experience in the French and American M&A markets. He has also been regularly involved in portfolio development transactions.

Sébastien is a graduate of ESSEC and holds a Master II in Business Law and Taxation (Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne).

Director of Human Resources and General Resources

Alexina Portal is the Director of Human Resources and General Resources. She is a member of the Management Committee. Alexina joined Wendel in 2020.

Alexina’s arrival is part of Wendel’s plan to transform the HR function. She focuses her skills on turning the HR function into a competitive strength. Her role includes both redefining HR procedures and implementing specific projects in recruiting, training, diversity, employer branding as well as quality of life at work and organizational culture. Alexina works with the Executive Board in supporting portfolio companies.

Since 2004, before joining Wendel, Alexina has acted as Transformation Programs Director for diverse organizations in sectors as varied as manufacturing (plastics, packaging, cabling, cosmetics, agri-food), services (auditing, communications, consumer goods) and IT systems (software companies, distributors, advisory services). Prior to that, she served as an internal auditor, as well as education services director and marketing and communications director for Oracle’s PeopleSoft division.

She is a graduate of INSEAD (IEP) and has a doctorate in Organizational Behavior.

Claude de Raismes is CEO of Wendel Luxembourg. He is secretary of the Investment and Development Committee. He joined the Group’s in 2009 as an analyst. He then became an associate and investment manager. He has been co-Chairman of Wendel Luxembourg since March 1, 2019 and was appointed CEO in January 1, 2020.

Before joining Wendel, Claude worked as an analyst at UBS Investment Bank from 2007 to 2009 where he notably participated in the financing of leveraged buyouts (LBO). Before, he had experience in financial auditing at Deloitte in Paris.

Claude is a graduate of HEC business school and holds a master’s degree in Modern Literature and a master’s degree in Econometrics.

Adam Reinmann is the CEO and founding member of Wendel’s New York office, which he helped open in 2013.  Adam currently serves as a member of Wendel’s Investment Committee and as Chairman of the Board for ACAMS and Crisis Prevention Institute, and previously as a Board member for CSP Technologies, Inc. and Allied Universal.

Prior to joining Wendel, Adam worked at Onex Corporation where he was actively involved in several successful private equity investments and also served as Chief of Staff to the CEO of Onex-controlled Celestia, Inc.

Adam began his career at JPMorgan’s investment banking group in New York.

Adam has a B.S. in Management from Binghamton University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Jérôme Richard is Operating Partner. He joined Wendel in 2019. Jérôme is an observer of the Board of Scalian, and a member of the team managing the investment in Bureau Veritas. He was previously a Board Member of CPI, Constantia Flexibles and Cromology.

Alongside the investment team, he works closely with the senior management of our portfolio companies.

Jérôme began his career at Boston Consulting Group during eight years in France and in the USA, developing expertise in operational transformation and turnaround, mainly in the healthcare and industrial sectors. He was also the recruiting Director of the Paris office. In 2010, Jérôme joined Schneider Electric as a Vice President and took-on leadership positions in purchasing then in sales & business development. In 2016, Jérôme was appointed CEO of John Paul (sold afterwards to Accor), a leading concierge services start-up supported by cutting edge technology to help brands reinventing customer experience.

Jérôme graduated from CentraleSupélec in 2002 (Master of Sciences).

Michel Tournier is IT Operating Partner, IT Strategy and Digital Transformation Manager Wendel SE. He joined Wendel in 2019.

Prior to joining Wendel, Michel was Head of IT – Technology Core Solution Group | EMEA/APAC at Ingram Micro Commerce & Lifecycle Services.

Michel has over 25 years’ experience in Technology management across several industry sectors. He began his career in 1996 at Cofidis, where he participated in the establishment of subsidiaries in Portugal and Argentina for 5 years.

Then, after 3 years in Louis Vuitton in Latin America as MIS Manager and several roles handled for the next 8 years at Shiseido group, he joined ANOVO as Group CIO late 2012. After 3 years of intense centralization, optimization and restructuring, Ingram Micro acquired ANOVO.

David Varet joined Wendel as an Operating Partner. David is based in Paris and reports to the Executive Board. He joined Wendel in 2021. He is a Board Member of Stahl.

Alongside the investment team, he works closely with the senior management of our portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Wendel, David was the General Manager of Homebox in Paris for 8 years. He started his career as a Senior Technology Consultant in the IT Division of Capgemini. Then, David worked for the group PSA for 5 years, first as an International Project Manager in logistics and distribution and then as a Worldwide Pricing Manager (parts and accessories). He then worked for 5 years at Boston Consulting Group, a global management consulting firm which he left as a Principal.

David is a graduate of École Polytechnique and École des Mines de Paris.

Charles Goulet is a Managing Director based in Paris. He joined Wendel in 2010. He is a Board Member of Tarkett Participation and Scalian.

Before joining Wendel, Charles was an Analyst at Ardian (former AXA Private Equity) from 2008 to 2010 in London, then in Paris in the Private Debt and fund-of-funds teams.

He had previously worked at Neo Investment Partners, a small and mid-cap LBO fund based in London as well as at HSBC in financial accounting in India.

Charles is a graduate of ESSEC Business School and holds a degree in Law.

Xavier Lemonnier is a Managing Director in the Investment team. He joined Wendel in 2018 and is based in Paris. He is a Board member of Stahl and a member of the team managing the investment in Bureau Veritas.

Prior to joining Wendel, Xavier worked for nine years at BC Partners, in Paris and most recently London, where he was involved in numerous investments across Europe, in a variety of sectors notably Consumer & Retail and Financial Services. Xavier started his career in 2008 at Merrill Lynch’s investment banking group where he worked on cross-border transactions involving French clients.

Xavier is a graduate of École Polytechnique and ENSAE ParisTech.
